Total Care Services

Origins

The directors had previously worked together in the healthcare sector and wanted to establish a business with a reputation for providing high quality and well trained staff into an under-resourced sector. In the early stages of the business, the biggest challenge was to develop a strong reputation for quality in a competitive, price sensitive marketplace

Success Factor

The key success factors are a focus on recruiting and retaining high quality staff, providing a first class customer service provided on a 24 hour a day 365 days a year service, and attention to detail in all areas, including financial management and management information, to ensure the best decisions are made on a daily basis

The Future

The current COVID crisis has made the firm re-evaluate its plans for the future and it has streamlined its business model to take all recruitment and training of staff online. It has reduced costs and ring-fenced staff provision to certain homes to reduce COVID risk and avoided any significant investment in the short term to ensure the business has strong cash reserves to ensure it can weather whatever comes its way in the future. As a result, the business will develop its existing business model to other branches and other market sectors within the recruitment and temporary resource sectors.
