LCB Construction

The business was started when the founder, Liam Bevan, was made redundant from a national householder following the 2007 recession. He faced a number of major challenges including business start-up capital with no access to borrowing or finance facility, managing cashflow and obtaining credit from suppliers, and getting established with clients especially with no previous experience of working in the sector or holding a senior management role

Success Factor

The business has succeeded through having a clear framework of its target market as a business, delivering a quality service with customer satisfaction at the forefront of the firm’s objectives, and establishing systems and processes that complement the staff it has and the sector it works in. It encourages innovative thinking, new ideas and continuous improvement amongst its staff and attracts employees with an enthusiastic approach and who ‘care’ about the services they provide.

The Future

LCB Construction aims to further establish the company in South Wales with new frameworks for public sector bodies similar to existing clients whilst expanding business operations into England in a similar manner to its existing business. It will also further increase financial strength and reserves and look for potential acquisitions into peripheral sectors.
