JISTCOURT (SOUTH WALES) (Port Talbot)

Origins

Jistcourt South Wales Ltd was established in 1980. In 1993, the current chairman of Jistcourt, Rob Norman took over as managing director and during these initial years of establishing the company, he employed a number of key staff who still remain in the company in varying key and senior roles. This team has been instrumental in the company’s growth and success.

Success Factor

Jistcourt undertook two five year frameworks for local housing association Tai Tarian in 2011 which enabled it to grow steadily with an increase in turnover and with this consistent flow of work it was able to take on more employees to carry out the contracts. Over the last few years, it has grown its client database whilst also maintaining current clients, and is starting to approach new geographical areas ensuring growth continues and is sustained.

The Future

Jistcourt is an expanding SME that has doubled its turnover in three years. It has a planned growth strategy in place to take it into different geographical areas in the coming years whilst maintaining its fantastic reputation. It wants to further increase its client database whilst ensuring it is continuing to maintain and impress current clients. The firm recently won SME of the Year 2017 at the Constructing Excellence Wales awards, and gained ‘Special Recognition’ for the People Development Award. It was also named as ‘Regional Insulation and Fabric Installer of the Year’ at the Welsh Energy Efficiency awards and has been shortlisted for the national award.
