UBIQUITY GROUP (Cardiff)

Origins

In essence, the seeds of the Ubiquity Group were planted via Morvah, one of the leading indigenous media agencies in Wales. Morvah was founded in 2006 to create a full service media agency based in Cardiff to fulfil essential marketing functions namely media planning and buying, creative design and branding, digital marketing and development, and public relations. Morvah Ltd grew organically to 2014 and this growth was built on its integrity and commitment to putting the client at the centre of all it does. Its strong retention record is testament to this approach and sits at twice the industry average. Over 70% of its clients have been with the company for five years and more. In 2014, Morvah Ltd acquired Peter Gill Associates, a leading design and branding agency based in Cardiff which was established in 1974. From this merger, the Ubiquity Group was created in January 2015 as a holding company for strategic investments in creative, media and digital companies and subsequently acquired Pure Emerald, a digital marketing agency with clients based in the US, EU and UK, and PS Partnership a newly formed PR consultancy whose team has worked and continues to work on some of the biggest issues and projects affecting Wales. These acquisitions ensured the Ubiquity Group could respond to any creative or communication need a client may have via a team of experts in their chosen fields sat under one roof.

Success Factor

It has grown organically and through acquisition based on an agile collaborative approach to partnerships with clients and service delivery partners alike and regards collaboration as a route to innovation in an increasingly digitally minded media industry. It also ensures those working on projects are provided with the support tools and authority to succeed and give them responsibility and accountability for success. Through this empowerment, excellent results are achieved for clients, whether it’s a rebrand and subsequent launch; the creation of a tailored media campaign to hit the right audience at the right time; a media relations plan aimed at ensuring clients get the credibility they deserve in their specific areas of expertise; or a digital campaign aimed at growing their online presence. This quality of work and success means happy clients, leading to credibility, recommendations and growth. The company also reward a job well done and mixes a bit of business and pleasure after all it is a business that relies on people!

The Future

The Ubiquity Group aims to grow through further acquisitions and organic growth. Its roots were grown firmly in Wales but its vision stretches much further afield. Everything it does is built on trust, and it believes that a collaborative approach to working with partner companies and clients is the most effective. Where required, the group functions as a 21st Century equivalent of the full-service agency and acting as a portal to a single point of contact and accountability.
