Track Training (Bridgend)

Origins

Co-founders Malcolm Sanders, MBE, and Dean Sanders have many years combined experience running successful businesses in Wales and internationally and wanted to use this market and industry knowledge to launch a quality training enterprise specialising in Lean/6 Sigma to help large and small companies in the UK improve their performance and tackle their most serious challenges in strategy, operations, culture and growth – whilst accessing skills grants where available to help make growth through skills affordable. The combined business acumen of the co-founders, their knowledge, experience and a strong drive to succeed, has cemented the decision to form their new business ventures in Wales, using a simple business model of delivering exceptional skills programmes delivered by a local base of highly experienced and trusted staff whilst offering competitive salaries and a quality service. This winning formula, along with significant personal investment, has resulted in a very successful business model. The major challenges faced during its first six years have been accessing finance to support growth, accessing skilled labour and the late payment of supplier partners.

The Future

The company’s plan for growth over the next five years include the appointment of key staff with specialist knowledge and skills, including having a strong internal operations team and an external delivery team that continues to bring measurable impact. As well as building on existing partnerships, the company will establish new partnerships in Wales, England and Scotland to extend provision into areas of specialist and generalist skills need. Finally, Track Training will develop new products and services, e.g. open programmes and 6 Sigma consultancy, and develop an international presence.
