Transport Broker Group

Origins

When Limo Broker was first established in 2006, there was no other brokerage company coordinating luxury transportation hire services in the UK. However, there were plenty of limo hire providers throughout the country, many of which were local companies relying on word of mouth and a listing in the Yellow Pages to generate business. More importantly, there were a lot of poor operators out there with many customers coming away from their limo hire experience feeling dissatisfied. It became apparent that there was an untapped market for a modern and competent luxury transport provider offering the same high standard of travel for customers throughout the UK. Limo Broker was launched with the purpose of uniting all of these smaller companies under the umbrella band of the brokerage. With more and more consumers turning to the internet to search for services, Limo Broker created a strong online presence for the company, gradually building up a plethora of high ranking websites, with micro sites dedicated to every major city and town in the country.

Success Factor

The demand for chauffeur driven limo hire for special occasion such as birthdays, weddings, hen and stag parties, anniversaries and school proms is huge, and the scope for repeat bookings is also great with customers returning for luxury transport for their next big social event or occasion. The business has benefitted greatly from its sophisticated online marketing techniques and the in-house web team updates the websites and news sites daily. The traffic generated by the highly optimised sites translates into enquiries, which are then converted in bookings and sales by the Cardiff call centre team, who deal with 1,600 enquiries every day during peak season. The Transport Broker Group has also benefited from strong leadership from the management team. With new incentives being set for all staff on a monthly basis, a focused and dynamic working environment and great career development opportunities within the company, the organisation has succeeded in attracting and retaining a skilled and committed workforce which has enabled the company to go forward and develop at this impressive rate.

The Future

The Transport Broker Group have plans to add another mode of travel to their growing broker system, this time private jet and helicopter hire. The websites are currently under construction and the management team are negotiating with aviation providers with a view to coming onboard with the new branch of the Transport Broker Group. Another area which the organisation is keen to expand into is horse and carriage hire. Limo Broker and Coach Broker currently handle a large number of bookings for wedding day transportation and have noted a growing interest in horse drawn carriage hire from their customers. The business has recently purchased its own business premises which will offer the company the opportunity to increase its staff levels, allowing the business to develop further. Over the course of the next 12-18 months, with the move to the new larger premises, The Transport Broker Group will have the space to add to the work force and have set the target of creating another 100 new jobs within this time frame.
