Origins

The company was founded in 2001 to target blue chip companies in the construction industry. Hicks Logistics was able to offer them a transport solution therefore enabling them to concentrate on their core activity of hiring out plant equipment. The first major challenge faced by the company was bidding for, and winning, its first major contract.

The company has grown through offering the customer a transport solution which reduces their liability in the transportation of the goods, but also allows them to have day to day control of deliveries. Hicks Logistics prides itself in offering a professional service and image and maintaining a personal touch with all customers as a priority.

The Future

The business intends to expand its trading base and also expects continued growth with existing customers. It has also purchased a new commercial site to develop which will also facilitate the continued growth. The company has continued to grow with the addition of a third long term contract with a large blue chip company (SGB Powered Access) and does not underestimate the importance of offering the customer the reliable personal touch as this is considered vital in the continued success of the firm.
