5. Berry Ltd
Import and export of fruit and juices | Established in
Based in Gwynedd, Berry Ltd was formed in 1991 to service the needs of industrial users of fruits and juice concentrates. It imports and exports frozen and aseptic fruits and juice concentrates for a wide range of customers operating in the yoghurt, ice-cream, jam and bottling industries throughout the UK, Europe and Australasia. In a highly competitive industry, the business adopts the view that each new account is an achievement and is proactive in its attempts to maximise customer loyalty.
The company’s main strengths lie in its extensive knowledge of the industry, the ability to accommodate the needs of its customers and a comprehensive network of quality suppliers. These advantages not only allow the firm to enjoy lower overheads but also to build strong relationships with their client base. It continues to be committed to growth and is looking to increase turnover and profitability by expanding its current volumes with established clients.
Last year, Berry Ltd established a Welsh/Chinese joint venture - ‘Dragons Gardens’ - as a means of expanding their existing product lines and realising further growth. The company is also planning to introduce a wider range of organic products in an attempt to expand its existing market scope and maximise growth opportunities.
